Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd took advantage of this win and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. Ladd went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were marred. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her debut professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill, and she was able to stop her third round by TKO (elbows and punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen was a dominant Hoy and defeated her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina with her ground and pound tactics and earned an TKO second-round victory. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd beat Evinger in the very first round and received a bonus for the performance of the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd's win was a majority victory, and she was awarded the Fight of the Night award was awarded to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her streak of winning. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
