
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She is also captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest level of women's professional soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she served as co-captain for America's women's national soccer squad along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the number one spot in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the time and played a major role in the team's winning the league title. Morgan was 22, at the time was the youngest athlete in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, which the team finished second. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final match at the 2012 London Olympics. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists along with Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and score 20 assists during the same calendar year , making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was the FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. She was selected to both the Dream Team for both tournaments.
